I hope everyone else has been doing better than I have. Last weekend me and a buddy fished a lake absolutely covered in milfoil and lilypads thinking the cold front wouldn't affect the bite that much and we'd have them busting our topwater frogs all day. Not a single frog blowup and only 2 small bass each. His came on D-bombs, mine came on chatterbaits with a SUMKINA swimbait trailer.

Yesterday the same friend and I dragged our yaks through the woods to one of his secret spots way up in the Stones River that oddly enough has thick patches of hydrilla growing. He does really well with a frog in there. We frogged all afternoon until dark. He caught a nice one but that's it. I got a small one on a D-bomb, not even a sniff on the frog. To make things worse, I wasn't forewarned that I'd be dragging my kayak through thick woods to get to the river and now am covered up to my calves on both legs in chigger bites.

The good thing is that Fall is coming and the fishing is about to get really good!
