I think I got a bad fuel line. Untarped my ol boat. She has been setting for about a year. Cleaned her up and getting ready to take her out. Charged up the batteries and put in new fuel. Put on the muffs and tried to fire her off. No go. Pulled plug she is firing. Finally tried spraying fuel into carbs she runs as long as spraying fuel. Ball on fuel line not pulling fuel as I pumped it and stuck screw driver into end of hose connection. No fuel came out and ball did not fill up.Replace complete fuel line or just ball?

I'd start with the bulb but it might not hurt to just replace the whole thing. Maybe first you can take the whole fuel line apart and check each piece of hose for obstructions, and then you can be sure if its the bulb. I recently replaced the bulb on mine because the connections were leaking.

Sounds like it just lost prime.Sometimes its hard to prime one up that has been setting up.Stick the screwdriver back in ball and rapid pump the bulb until it primes up.Make sure gas cap is off also.

May have to give it a little more thought as they are proud of those fuel lines. $40 at wallyworld. $12 for just the ball. Looks like it may be time to take a fuel line apart.

Lot cheaper than ours at work. The ethanol resistant bulbs are $27 and the ethanol resistant fuel line is about $3 a foot. Then again, we are a mercury dealer, so it will be higher priced.
