Bad 209 primer (pic)

Getting my new, heavier, load finished up and ran into my first ever bad primer. CCI 209M
Just a pop, nothing more. The back of the breach plug was covered in soot, which it never normally is. This was the first load after a complete barrel and breech plug cleaning. Plus was dry and light visible before reassembly.
Put in a new primer and the original load, everything acted normally.
Any ideas, or just a bad one?

Looks like a potentially light firing pin strike? Could have led to a delayed fire, or fizzle, not being enough to ignite the BH209?

Vortek, with hundreds of rounds through it. Probably 8 more after the bad one yesterday.
