Today I got up early in a feeble attempt to beat the heat (didn't work) but it was still worth it to make this wonderful meal. Very easy if you have a big pot and a slow-cooking fire.

The fire "pit" is just some cheap fire stand that my daughter gave me when it started rusting out. I'll get a new one or build a permanent fire ring soon.

The tripod was made for me this spring by Steve at Three Creeks Farm West of Nashville. (http://www.3creeksfarm.com/) Its a fun thing for cooking over flames and coals. I've got some YouTube videos of cooking chili and frying bluegills with it.
