The rut has started and although there are some bucks seemingly just walking around, some are chasing does. I'm not seeing many does but maybe those few around will be enough bait to bring him in. Bookoos of scrapes making up this scrape line and as of yesterday some of them are still absolutely worn out fresh. I'm thinking my buck will have to be killed on an afternoon hunt and today will be my first this year... if he doesn't come by this morning. I love climbing up with the expectation of killing a buck versus just hoping to see a buck. Go get em boys!

Goodluck. I'm up a tree too. Pretty windy here though. Hopefully the deer will be moving .

Didn't stay to afternoon hunt. It's just too thick in there and under low light conditions I'm afraid I couldn't judge a buck's rack. I did shift my stand about 100 yards and can see down the scrape line better as well as the ridge below me. I only saw 1 buck but I pulled a camera card from a camera that hadn't been in there but 16 hours and got 93 pics. Nothing to write home about. Back in the morning.

Was that you coming back on 64 this afternoon about two thirty, pulling a trailer behind a light colored Ford pick up?
