Back from QDMA convention

Just in from the convention. I took my wife and we spent 2.5 days in Louisville. We both had a good time and really enjoyed the time away.

Probably the hi-light for me was watching Grant Woods seminar. Very impressive speaker and obviously very knowledgeable.

I did find a few items to add to the wish list but one may have to wait til spring. The other will be in a few months and when I get it I will post about it.

Guys into this sorta thing need to make the trip and go to at least on QDMA convention. Onlt thing I wish was it was back in Chatanooga.

I enjoyed the the Grant Woods seminar also. My wife has been aggravating me about keeping the deer on our farm from being nervous.

Only thing I wish was it was back in Chattanooga.

I wasn't able to make this one, but can almost guarantee you my hi-light would have been attending Dr. Woods' seminar. Can also guarantee you I had no interest in attending a seed sales seminar demonstrating how they feed deer in Texas.

Yes, I wish they were in Chattanooga, too, but guess Louisville is more convenient to many. I had similar thoughts when this year's "Southeast" (as in Georgia) deer study group meeting was held in the most remote part of Southwest Texas.

Rich, Grant is a for real person and just an all around likeable down to earth like you and me kinda guy.......
that is how he comes across and even though i have never met him personally i believe this to be a pretty accurate description of him from having watched and listened to him for anumber of years now.

Yes, I am a very lucky person to have known and worked with the people I have, and seen the things I've seen.

Grant was a tremendous mentor and I owe him much.
