Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think my place would see bachelor groups like this. Normally, our summer population is a handful of yearling bucks still with their mothers:

wow! i hope they stick to your area until bow season anyway. they'll spread out quite a bit after that i'd guess...

On my place, they are. We lose very few bucks from summer to fall, EXCEPT the ones that only drift through on rare occasion in summer. THOSE usually never show come fall, but I'll see them again the following summer (but again, only occasionally). If I get a buck in summer every day, he's most likely a resident who will stick around.
For some odd reason, I have very few older bucks that summer on my place but spend the fall somewhere else. If I have 20 bucks in summer, I might lose 2 or 3 come fall, but I will gain literally 30-40 new bucks in fall. So far, our record is 70 unique bucks in a single hunting season. Last year, 66 (with 38 of those being 2 1/2+). But all of that is site specific due to local habitat.

Our lease consists of a farm and a mountain divided by a large creek. Most of the bachelors stay on the farm side while in velvet maybe because it is more open and plenty to eat. As soon as the velvet begins to dry and they start rubbing it off they leave and cross the creek. Some stay on our lease section and some we might see at some point in the season as they cross the property some we might see next year and some never come back. If you have one you see daily and want I suggest considering the velvet hunt coming up unless you are opposed to that because I would hate to see you miss out on that real nice buck.
The first attached picture is from two years ago first of September. Within two weeks all three were gone. We didn't see any of them the rest of hunting season. One came back late in winter and I watched him that year and when he left the farm after shedding his velvet he showed up on the side of the mountain near a place I liked to hunt and I got him in late Oct but the other two never came back that we know of.

I love bachelor groups…I'll share this little gem from 11 years ago since the farm this was on I can no longer hunt and unfortunately in another year or so it will be an industrial park. I killed one of these bucks in November that year. He was in the mid 150's
