In The Dog House here are some pictures of the axe I told you about. I found this in Loudon County on the TN river in 1973.

Geezer I found this Axe when I was In high school back then about all I did in the winter was walk the river banks. I found this Axe on a stretch on bank I had probably walked 100 times. I was headed to a spot where I had found some nice points. A tree had fallen and I had to get into the water to get around it. The bit end of the Axe was all that was sticking out of the mud, it was in about 6 inches of water. To say I was excited when I found it would be an understatement.

I found another one 1 month later in the side of a bank at a creek mouth. It is not as large and not as nice as this one. I will post a pic in a few days.

Thats awesome! I dream of a grooved axe or any kind of hardstone would work for me! Aint it crazy how something like a fallen tree reroutes you to something great!!
CONGRATS!

Man thats awsome! I live in west tn. and have looked all my life(49) and have only found one arrowhead. Perfect arrowhead but left it in my truck when I traded it and never could recover it again after trying. You have some very nice finds there!
