ax head i found....

found this the other day when i found the indian tool......any ideas on how old it may be? had a "N35" stamp on it so it cant be that old but it was in about a foot of dirt in a plowed field

A pole axe or polearm is a weapon...It was used in the 14th 15th century...Later used for other uses but originally a weapon...For splitting melons...

Wikipedia says, a poleaxe (one word) was used to strike cattle in the forehead. I can only assume to kill them.
