Nice setup...how much that mount cost? I'm tired on iron sights on my M14.
That'll be good to tell which loads are shooting best out of it,but that Socom screams for a Eotech or a a Trijicon..

I thought it was an allen head screw and finally had to ask for help,,you may already know this,,but if you dont you need a pretty small punch to get it out,so you may want to get that done while you wait for the mount,,

That didn't take long at all. I need one of the Staples buttons that says "that was easy" lol. I used a brass punch tho.

through a little over 100 rounds today it looks like it likes the lighter bullets better,,just about all the 155-168 loads were 1.5-1.75 inches for 10 rounds at 100 yards,,the 150`s hung out around 1.5 and the 125 NBT were right at 1 MOA.
the ARMS mount is so low that it caught a piece of brass being ejected and stopped the bolt from coming back closed..
after I decide on which load shoots the best I will take all this mess back off ,

Did it just catch one piece? Where did it hit the mount at? Makes me rethink my order. Maybe it can be milled down a little?

the ejected piece of brass got above the bolt and hung between the bolt and the mount,,
if I was lookin to scope a M1A I would get a higher mount and get a leather cheek piece put on the stock to get a correct cheek weld,,
I only scoped the SOCOM for load development ,the Trigicon sights are as good as a red dot sight to me,,for what it is made for,,a scope would be counter productive.
