Doesn't get much better than it already being 51 degrees at 5:20 am and windy, this is the one weekend a year we get to hunt our old stomping grounds in Fayette county and to say the weather is against us is and understatement

Yep I've been in Knoxville since Wednesday and won't be able to hit the woods till tomorrow. Supposed to be in the 50s at daybreak and 15 mph SSW wind. My focus will bottom out if I don't see any deer within the first hour.

I need to take my own advice and get out and hunt. We've got hot does in the area so the weather isn't going to stop chasing.

On top of the great weather I jumped a lone doe walking in this morning and she liked to have never quit blowing at me.

Hate when that happens.

The wind is starting to lay for short periods in smith county. Not many shots although my dad might have shot 10 mins ago. We are checking in on walkie talkies in 7 minutes.

Just had a tall spike come by. He got down wind of me and immediately smelled me and changed direction. Watched through binocs and noticed he was walking on 3 legs and his bad leg appeared to have a bullet hole in it. Hate seein that but he was gettn along and eatin and tail waggin

Way to much wind for the fields in middle TN. I've only seen one deer here which is unusual. A little spike missing one antler.
