Ok so after season im going to work up to 45 gr. Of 4759 in my savage. My question really is, is there a difference in velocity of a 452 bullet and a. 458 bullet? It seems the bigger bullet would build more pressure with bigger velocity as a result? Maybe im overthinking

You'll be able to push the .458 harder since you'll have a thinner sabot. Pushing a .452 very hard will most likely result in blown sabots.

The .452 will actually have a flatter trajectory than the .458 because the smaller diameter bullet will have a higher ballistic coefficient (it will cut through the air better). Here's a decent article on ballistic coefficients (bc's) that explains it pretty well http://www.chuckhawks.com/bc.htm

For what were doing with these guns the .458 will probably be the best bet.
