Might not be the right place for this but I thought it was cool and wanted to share. I bid on a ring at a online Auction ,didn't really think I would win it but did. After picking it up in the original box it had a paper tag inside the box , tag said 1st state award Fisher Body Craftsman Guild. I had no idea what this was so once I got home did a little research and found out from 1937-1967 there was a design contest held by the Big 3 for High School Juniors ans Seniors. The contest was designing concept car bodies and the winners took home a 5000.00 scholarships and normally a job after College . There was alot more information online but that's the highlights.

I recall seeing that logo many times as you opened the driver's car door..."Body by Fisher"

I assume it belonged to Engineer that retired down here the Estate sale was at a house on Tellico Lake.

Cool ring and story! My Dad worked at Fisher Body Company in the mid 50s before I was born.
