Attractant

I don't know that there is one to be honest. I tried a few different things like salt licks, Yo Buck mineral attractant, and some of the canned sprays. Nothing worked. I've heard trophy rocks are good once the deer find them, but that's about it. Supposedly Yo Buck works so I may have it in the wrong spot. Gonna try moving it next week.

Salt/mineral products are a summer thing but may habituate deer to traveling by even they don't want the salt. Best attractant right now is a hot doe.

People belly ache about food plots and folks that own big tracts of land and can manage their habitat, but during the rut, everyone has a chance.

Deer will eat DeerCane in the winter months if you put it in a mineral lick!
I think deercane is considered bait though.

Deer cane is not classified as bait.

deer cane is "pretty much" salt. Yes they may eat it some during winter months but nothing like they will during the summer

I have been putting trophy Rocks in the same stump for 4 or 5 years now. Watched 3 does lick on that stump for 5 minutes the other day. They do use it more in the summer, but they still like the stump now
