Atlanta seems to be the AAA-team of last year and then the Playoff team of the distant past.

At least i think they will break 500 this year.

I am wondering how their payroll was 119 million last year after a 2016 of 74 million. They paying Kimbrel and others still?

My Son says Yankees win the Series in 3 games. after 3, the other team will default.

Braves have some good young players, The have a stud all-star first baseman.

The thing that hurts them bad is the pitching they just don't have it. why the organization has not signed a stud pitcher in forever now I dont know. They can get all the 20-year-old good fielders they want until they get some real good pitching they not going far.

look at Washington who the Braves, are playing a series with right now.... they just rolled out Max Scherzer & Stephen Strasburg in back to back starts against the Braves two of the best in the game, & shut the Braves down.

mets are the same way with Jacob deGrom, & Matt Harvey

The Atlanta record looks good until you examine the details.

They are generally swinging the bat pretty good but as mentioned the pitching side has some big holes.

Still, I am encouraged by performance so far.

Fingers crossed one or more of the current pitching staff steps their game up several notches.

Bravos looking good the last couple games. Former Gator Preston Tucker having a good couple weeks.

Braves are playing good baseball.

I was really surprised to watch the Mets series. That team seems to have a lot of missing parts. They have some great pitching, some good hitting, good fielding but not all 3 all the time or even most of the time. If they were a V8 i would say they were running on 6.

Still, is good to watch Atlanta play the game

Albie is really playing well, and then add in Acuna to that. Freddie being Freddie. Most Braves games I have watched in the 5-6 years. Fun, young team to watch.

Braves in first after 30 games now.

Beat up the NY mets again to finish the 3 game sweep

11-0........ Mets didn't have a hit it the 7th

Braves lead the NL/majors in so many good categories pretty impressive.

3rd best record in the majors

The Braves are getting hits exactly when they need them and when they don't, the other team can't field the ball.

It is amazing to watch the games.

That Pitcher kid Soroka near cleared the fence on his first or second major league at bat. I've got ties older than him.

Sell Bautista. His 3rd base skills are not up to the task. Move him quick.

Atlanta should have spanked SF instead they got hammered. SF was missing a lot of talent but Atlanta pitching was not up to the task.

Next two weeks I think Atlanta is going to have a lot of trouble.

The sweep hurts

Braves still a game up over the Philly who plays the mets tonight.

Looked like the braves teams over the last 4 years in that series. Pitching killed them they look good at times just not consistent

5 games over 500 is still pretty good for this team at the moment.

Big bounce back close game win tonight 1-0 Braves

Braves stay a half game ahead of Philly in first place.

They did gain a game of the 3ed place mets who lost tonight they are now 2 games back.

Braves still moving right along.

Looking for 3ed straight win tonight leading the Marlins 7-1. A grandslam by one the youngsters broke the 1-1 game open in the 6th.....

Braves will stay in first with a W.

On a side note: attendence at Miami tonight is less than 9000. When is MLB going to give up on Miami as a baseball city?

They will never give up on Miami. It was much worse one time before, attendance dropped to around 2500 a game.

The lousy attendance reflects lousy play. The new ownership sold off all the talent or at least most and there was near zero in the Minors. I have no sympathy for the fans, they aren't fanatics at all.

I have no idea of how many seats were sold via season ticket holders. They had fewer than 9K in attendance. which does not mean anything if they had say 35,000 season ticket holders.

Atlanta did the same thing-bargained away their talent and then tried to sell Triple A ball-it did not work and Atlanta suffered through 3 years of miserable play. I personally do not believe Atlanta will end this year with an above 500 win/loss record. Right now, they are killing opposition provided the opposition does not fight back too much.

We shall see......

Yep, saw the game.

Just an opinion, but the Marlin's manager is not so hot on winning games(never thought I'd say that).

The Miami pitcher should have been pulled-even my Atlanta Brave fan Son was screaming to pull the pitcher.

It was indeed an exciting game and when Swanson squared up i figured it was over, Atlanta lost. It was over alright, just a surprise ending.

Man this team is a fun one....

6-2 mets after 6 innings when I went to bed last night....

Woke up with a braves win & another walk off homer.

2ed walk off homer in last 3 games.

Saw the same thing... Very fun team to watch.

The Braves are doing pretty good.

The Braves need to steamroll the Mets before they get healthy.

From now to the break the Braves need to win in a big way.
