I want to give it a shot this year. As I understand it, asparagus, once established, will last for many years. I want to make sure I plant the right asparagus crowns. Any recommendations for a tasty and hardy variety? Thanks.
do you find it often in the wild? never really looked for it myself. Not a big fan of eating itNimrod777 said:It's a perennial and will go for years. I love the stuff. Get it in the ground and let it get established that first year. With luck, and the help of small birds, it will reseed itself regularly.
I always keep my eyes peeled for roadside clumps of the stuff.
