Arrow and broadhead advice

Need opinions on the best all around arrow and broadhead. Currently shoot gold tip pro hunters and T3 broadheads

I have had excellent results with the small diameter Easton Axis with 100 grain Muzzy.

The arrows you have are fine and have produced excellent results. To be honest, I'm not totally a fan of the T3 heads, but as with anything archery related....it's all about what YOU have the most confidence in. As far as expandables, my recommendations are Schwackers and NAP Killzones. My recommendeds for fixed blade heads are Slick Tricks, G5 Strikers and Muzzy MX-4.

One of the most overlooked things I see when chosing an arrow/broadhead combo is chosing the correct spine. You can consider an arrow's spine as the foundation of a building--get it wrong and everything else is gonna off in one way or another.

Stick with the gold tips. I use thunderheads with my gold tips and haven't had a problem.

Broadheads are very subjective. Some people love mechanicals, some people hate them. That doesn't mean they're bad. Most importantly, pick something that is reputable and make sure your bow shoots it well. If it doesn't, tune it up until it flies properly.

I've shot the regular old Muzzy 3-blade for years. I admittedly don't kill many deer in archery season, but every deer I have shot with a muzzy has died cleanly. However, every single one of them have ran at least 200 yards - and some much farther (and they were all good shots).

I decided to switch to the Rage Hypodermic this year. Partially because I found them on sale, and partially because I want to see how the larger cutting diameter works out. I've never been a fan of mechanical heads in the past, but I also haven't tried them since 2003 and I'm sure they've improved since then.

As for the arrows, GoldTips worked well for me last year. In previous years I have also shot the FMJ and the Axis. I like them all. The only thing I changed about my GoldTips is to add the aluminum 50g inserts to put a little more weight FoC.

Lots of good broadheads out there. I have tried a lot of broadheads over the last several years. For the longest time I had slick trick standards and grim reapers in the quiver. Then I tried the QAD Exodus and love them quiet in flight, accurate, and tough.

As far as arrows I shoot gold tip kinetic hunters.

Those GTs will work fine. Arrow makers are just like bow makers, with the technology today hard to find a bad one. Like what was said before, spine is the key. But if you are or just want to change to try something new I wouldnt wastes the money on the .001 (pros) from any maker, .003 will do just as good for 99% of us as .001 will and save money as well. I did the pro thing once and wont do it again. If sticking with just whitetail, dont need nothing that fancy so dont worry yourself with thinking about all the options out there. Just a good ole, no freels, correctly spined arrow will work. With the broadheads I'm going to have to go with Muzzy, either the plain ole 6pk 100gr 3 blade or 100gr trocar. Seen the trocars shot out of compounds and crossbows and they are accurate. Seen some kill picks but not shot them myself I shoot the the plain ole ones for many many years and have had great results. Now the blood trail dont look like a horror film clip like some like to see but dead is dead. Not a mechanical fan but am going to give the new Muzzy HB a go this year.

In short dont get caught up in hype, bandwagoners, and TV and forget what the real goal is, a clean humane kill not cost or bling. At times we all loose grip on this reality and get caught up. Get what works best for you and your setup not what sticker looks the coolest on the back window. Would rather have a crimson soaked bargain bin find than a talk about how cool it is at the water cooler with my yeti cup and costas on my head that aint never seen nothing but foam any day.

Gold Tips are great and you can find them year after year unlike some brands that market the newest and latest in an effort to get you to buy all new stuff. I have been using them for ten years at least with excellent results. As far as broadheads go I was a 100 gr mussy 3 blade fan for years until I tried grim reapers. They are extremely accurate and produce quick kills and great blood trails. However there are a lot of good broadheads on the market and if you can try a few and see what flys best from your bow thats what I would go with
