army worms?

Found out this weekend army worms destroyed all of our foodplots
. Anyone else ever dealt with this problem? We plan on spraying to kill them and replant. Will they come back?

Yes, it is amazing the destruction they will do. I have seen them take lush green wheat fields to the dirt. You should be fine to replant after you spray. I think they have a 21 day life cycle.

A guy that I work with told me about them, sounds like there bad this year

They have hit several farms, soybeans and milo in Montgomery and Stewart Counties this year

I used to work in turf management. Encountered a few in our yards over the years. I do not know about food plots and crops, but with bermuda grass it was really no different that scalping your yard with a mower. The bermuda would grow back. We sprayed them anyways though.
