Most hunters have never heard of him. They are too young. If you enjoy Rutledge, you shuold go reread most pf Faulkner's hunting stories. That's where Archy learned to write.

I have a copy of "those were the days". Hard to put down.He must have been very rich, all he did was hunt!lol

I have read Faulkner. He is very good. My favorite is George Mattis.

I've got a copy of "America's Greatest Gamebird," a compilation of his best turkey hunting stories edited by Jim Casada. It's a whole lot different than turkey hunting is today, but there are some awesome stories.
