Archeofest this weekendin Pinson

Is anyone going to Pinson Mounds this weekend? I'm sure It will be a wild and crazy time.......ok it won't be crazy and I'm pretty sure that it won't be wild but it's a good time outdoors with some great history and some nice artifacs.....

Pinson Mounds is about 10 miles south of Jackson. Every year they have a big get togather weekend with native people giving lectures and showing their culture.

I love to watch the flint knappers at work. They have some beautiful points on display.

I didn't get to go but my inlaws did. They took my son and had a great time. They said that the only problem this year is that the people selling bows and arrows were selling cheap pine strips and and pvc pieces then they were calling them bows. My father in law brought a couple bows that he had made and he said that they were the only real bows there except for the actual artifacts.
