Thinking about building a AR10.Has anyone built one or own one,I was curious about recoil.I haven't shot a 308 on this type rifle and was thinking it would be uncomfortable with the hard plastic collapsible stock, but was wanting opinions. Thanks
I've owned and shot several different ones and still own a GAP-10, they shoot different than a bolt gun but once you figure out how to shoot it, they can be extremely accurate. To me, felt recoil was less than a bolt gun. What upper/lower was you going to use for the build?
I don't have an AR10 but I do have a DPMS .308 that I built from scratch. The recoil isn't anything out of the ordinary. Definitely less than a bolt gun as mentioned above.
I have a DPMS LR308 Recon, 16"barrel with the Magpul stock.
Very accurate, and recoil is very mild, and I shot handloadsb they run mildly hotter than factory ammo.
Very accurate, and very fun to shoot.
