The AR's are still new to me. have shoot my Colt with Leupold AR series scope but haven't got around to the DPMS in 308 yet It weres Redfield Battle zone. I really never found a mount that I truly wanted for either and due to clearance on the front hand guards I eneded up with Weaver Riser an tactical rings I already had on hand. During the process of looking around I noticed the one piece mount an rings like Leupuld have a built in 20 mil?? difference from front to rear in the rings.

No body as yet has been able to explain to me what this is for an dose it work. Am assumeing it dose an that it aids in keeping / freeing up turns on elevation of the scopes?? Correct??

and before asked I was trying to find a one piece OR base or riser nobody locally had any an I was too lazy to look on line.. LOL

Unless you plan on shooting long distance (600yds), a 20MOA mount may not be for you. It won't hurt anything at all to have one, if you get a good deal on it. What it does is "pre load" 20 minutes of angle into your scope so you have more vertical adjustment. This is important for lower end price scopes that don't have enough built in adjustment.

I assume you are shooting a flat top? If so, this is the mount I am using. It is extremely well built and holds zero when taking off and on. ADM Recon
