i dont have much knowledge about the AR? Are the Bushmaster series any good. The ones u can get at wal mart? any info appreciated .like caliber,series,etc....

You can get ARs from $600 to $5000, just depends on what you want. Bushmaster is a decent AR for the money, imo. Like I said its all in what you want to spend. Me personally I dont care for the carbon lowers. Just my preference.

The old Bushmasters, prior to their sale to Freedom Group in 2006, were top notch high quality AR's. Since their sale in my opinion their firearms are nowhere near what they were. In fact, a significant number of the old Bushmaster managers, machinists and personnel left the Freedom Group and bought the old original Bushmaster tooling and now manufacture the Windham Weaponry line of AR's. These are in fact up to the old Bushmaster standards of quality. If I didn't already own an original Bushmaster and I was in the market today, I would be looking at Windham and Stag Arms before I would consider a current day Bushmaster.

I have an older Bushmaster and have had no problem with mine. Had 2 but sold one and they are both 5.56.
5.56 and .223 are the same. Let's try not to confuse the guy. The only difference is some .223 can't shoot a 5.56 round due to them not being able to take the pressure.
