Ar mag mod

I have a 5rd ar mag that catches the bolt on the last round. Any ideas how to modify? All my other magazines the follower is not exposed

It looks like your feed lips are too far apart and allowing the round to sit too high. It may be time to retire that one. Magazines are consumables, after all.

If you must keep using it, you could take a dremel or similar tool and shave a little material from the top of the tab that interacts with the bolt stop. It would help to see that mag inserted in the lower. I'd need to see it from the top.

I agree the feed lips are spread allowing the round and follower to set higher than normal. At least it appears that way.

That's possible. Can you post a picture with that mag alongside another with one round loaded?
