On a DPMS LR 308 if it has a non adjustable stock you can take that off and put a 6 position or something different on correct?

You can but you will need to replace the whole tube and buffer and not just the stock itself.

Those are great shooting rifles. Might get nose heavy if replace the A2 stock with M4 style collapsible. Btw, I have 2 new unopened mags for dpms ar10 that I would sell, if anyone ever needed them.
