Apple trees

My dad has got 3 very big apple trees in his fields and normally the branches are about ready to break from being loaded with apples,but not this year,apples seem to be very few and far between on them.I don't understand either.The hickory and oaks around them are all loaded with nuts.Anybody elses apple trees not got alot of apples on them?

the apple trees i got arent exactly loaded either hard to explain ours usually becomes loaded around the first week of august.. hope its not gonna be a bad year for apples?????

Seems to be a weak crop in my county on most trees.

I have 11 trees (3 different kinds). Although they are not nearly as full as last year, they still have a wealth of fruit on them. As a matter of a fact; my little striped apples are maturing now. Some have already hit the ground. And the deer are already on them. Time to put a camera back out in the yard. LOL
