Odd you ask, because I have one doing the exact same thing only mine is a winesap. It is also my only tree that is doing this. Not a possibility of herbicide damage on my end. The only thing I can figure about mine is that it is planted in a fairly wet area...probably too wet honestly, and I bet one of these years the tree may die it's that wet. Is yours by chance in an area prone to being too wet? Just curious if we have any similarity there between our trees.
