Appalachian cottontail

Anybody ever hunted Appalachian cottontail rabbits?

Never knew there was a such until seen a heartland clip on Tv 1 morning.I forgot at what elevation & area they are found.

I guess thats what we have here on the plateau so yes...I think.

They live on the balds primarily. Not sure there are any you can hunt.

Yeah I assume they live more on the Cumberland Plateau than other places in TN.

I believe I read somewhere that they like to live at elevations of 2500ft and higher..So I doubt there are many on the plateau and are restricted to the Smokies..
