Well I finally got her done & put back together and might I say she shoulder's pretty good. Gonna hopefully take her for a test run Sunday. Gotta give props to Slufoot, He does some fine work.
CVA Apex 45-70 converted to SML

They don't make blued apexes. You can get a black stock, or a camo stock, but they are all stainless.

You ought to look at the stalkers, They are quite nice & shoot well

Or the Scout. Super light weight and point naturally. If you want a thumb hole stock, you can buy a stock for the optima and they will swap out.

the scouts not offered in a 45/70,gander has the blue/black elite for $279,what does the barrel conversion run $ ?

$100 for the conversion from slufoot & $30 for the breechplug.
A buddy of mine just got the stainless stalker for $279. Don't mean to keep bringing it up but I am a huge fan of stainless over blued.

Shot this morning with the new apex.Here is a 3 shot group at 50yds. Very pleased so far. Speeds were right at 2600.Moved back to 100 but it was getting smokin hot out so only shot twice.
