Since I have moved out here to the wide open spaces of Colorado I have come to appreciate the use of suppressors for hunting. Not only does the lower muzzle blast not spook game as bad, its harder to tell where the sound came from, felt recoil is reduced, and of course its particularly nice not to have to wear earpro.
The down side in a gas gun is a lot more cleaning, but bolt guns dont suffer amy more fouling than without the suppressor.

I squirrel hunt with either a Ruger 96/22 or a 10/22 Pocket Rifle SBR. Either one might be equipped with a SWR Spectre, Spectre II, Liberty Kodiak TL or a Tactical Innovations Quest.

I have deer hunted with and taken deer with my Remington 700 SPS Tactical .308 and Ops Inc 3rd Model 30cal

I really Like TI stuff. I have used Thunderbeast, SWR, Gemtech, and YHM suppressors on my 10/22, 22/45 Lite, a variety of AR platform rifles in 300BLK, 6mmx45, and of course 5.56, and on the FN TSR in 300WSM. The SWR seems the quietest, but love the Gemtech as well. Did not own the Thunderbeast or YHM, but they did the job just fine. Papers in are right now for a Form 1 so I can try my hand at building one of my own, and another Form 4 for another 30cal SWR. There are several local gun shops that keep suppressors in stock, which is not good for the wallet.

I've finally retired myself from the NFA market. It's fun to play but danged expensive and I have other priorities now. I have all the NFA toys that I want from suppressors to SBR to subguns.
