Anyone Stripe fish...

I have the boat and I have the gear...I have never stripper or rock fish or what ever you call them...I want to learn more...anyone want to take me or go with me to teach...I fish salt water as often as I can and when I come home I need a fix and bass just won't cut it...

I catch them quite often while bass fishing. But I have a couple places I target them at night, however if they get slow I usually resort to bass fishing for a while.

I'm no pro at catching them but anytime you want to go let me know and we'll go see if they're hungry.I'm like you, saltwater fishing has spoiled me.

I am just tired of blind casting if you will. I was born to hunt but love to fish. Bass are just not doing it for me fit now.

You ever fish Tim's ford? We usually catch a few in August down around the dam down lining blue gills. I'm no expert and still trying to figure these fish out myself.

do a "striped bass telemetry study" research and you can find good information on their movements done by various universitys in the south on their behavior

Tim's Ford. There everywhere! Catch all you want. Throw a a rig on points or find them in the jumps.

Aaron, when I go after them I use several saltwater lures. My favorite is the Catch 2000 by Mirr-o-Lure http://www.mirrolure.com/classics/20mr_22mr.html It is a deadly suspending bait that you fish with a jerk and reel technique. I also will use a standard bandit 200 in a shad color when they are schooled up on wind blown banks feeding on baitfish. You basically fish for them much like you do Bass. I used to use live shad and tie them to a balloon below the dams and float it in the boils, but with the COE acting like a bunch of pompous a@#es that practice is pretty much gone.
