the Barnes 250gr or 300gr Expander? What were your results, which was/is better?

Most places I can hunt could be shots from 0-150 at..... more than not my fartherest shot will be 50-75 yards. My ML has a 28" barrel with 1 in 28" twist.

I shot 4 deer with the 300 exp last year out of my savage. All were bang flops. They are extremely accurate out of my gun. They are no problem to load with the supplied sabot. I'm very comfortable out to 200 with the exp.

I shoot the 50 cal Barns spit-fire 290 gr with 90 loose Pyrodex. has not failed me yet
Expander should work good too.

I did use the 250gr Expander but I like the Spitfire 245gr better, never a loading issiue with either in both Rem 700 ML's an the Savage. They were the only things the Rem's would shoot well.

i used the barns expander last year out of my side hammer muzzleloader and it tore the front of the deer where i couldn't get anything off of it because it was to bad blood shot to use so i switch to power belt bullets and never had the same problem
