anyone shoot a 300 saum?

just wondering what loads would be good. I shot a buck with mine this year with a 150 grain core loct out of Remington stainless 700 with 24 inch barrel, had a passthrough but a small exit hole. what could I use that would leave larger exit wounds? thanks for any input.

I shoot 7 saum


in 30 cal. I recommend 150 accubond or 180 accubond. Or Berger vld hunting bullets in similar weight

Thanks D.A. I see that you didn't mention 165 gr. accubond bullets. have you tried those?

i have never had a 300 saum

but have killed several with
308 and 300 rum (sam bullets .308)

never used a 168 accubond on deer but would not hesitate to use one

short bbl hurt you

my 7 saum i can do better than 7 mag speed with less powder
