I'm looking for a battery charger for charging atv batteries. Its strange but, a lot of chargers won't charge a battery that is completely dead. I don't know about all atv batteries but, a lot come dry and you add the electrolytes(water/acid) then charge. Some chargers won't do anything for a battery like that. Any help is appreciated.

The battery will self charge when the acid is poured in. After an hour, put it on charge. I use a battery tender plus (1.25 amps)on my atv and rzr. I use a battery tender jr (.75amps) on my dirtbikes with smaller batteries. Permanently install the pigtail on the battery and plug in the battery tender when not in use.
I'll second the recommendation of a battery tender. Leave it plugged in while your...lawnmower, tractor, boat, atv, motorcycle... sits.
