Leaning toward getting an Elite Hunter or Answer, anyone have any first hand knowledge on them. Pretty much down to that or a Z7 or Helim.

Me, me, me, oh please me......can I answer? :) I was in tractor supply the other day and they had the "hello kitty" starter bow in your color...pink, for only $15--you might want to try it out, that's all you! :D

I'd go elite over Mathews no question. I like the feel of the bows better, awesome grips. Check out the warranty on both companies and what they do if your bow breaks while you are on a hunt.

I just sold a 2012 Answer. I love the Elite bows. I happened to like the Elite Pure better than the Answer though. And I've liked any of the Elite bows better than the Mathews bows.

The Answer with Smooth mods on it is one of the best drawing bows I've shot. If you put Speed mods on it, the smoothness is gone and it wants to get away from you a little bit (shortens the valley quite a bit which I really like). The thing I didn't like about the Smooth mods...was that it made the valley TOO BIG for my liking. Some people really love that part about the bow though....they like being able to hold it back for long periods of time and the bow not try to get away from them if they creep up a little. I don't like having to force my hand forward in order to let the bow down....which those big valleys make you do. The Pure fit me a lot better as far as taste. It's longer A-A and the draw is just as smooth, but the valley isn't as big as the Smooth mod Answer and isn't as short as the Speed mod Answer...it's just right to me, and I can shoot it a lot better too.

Elite and Strother are my favorite two bow companies out there right now. If only either one of them would make a long A-A target bow worth a crap, I'd be a happy man.
