If someone has one, I'd really like to get copies of the whole write up about hand loading for the 1876. It's just a few pages long.

Great thread, and i enjoyed reading the info that Brian Pearce wrote. Im a Levergun Hunter, dont have a 76, but I'd sure enjoy one if I did! Nothing like deer hunting in woods - mountains, on foot, to get a close shot with a good Levergun!

I seem to have painted myself into a corner with the lever actions I currently have. Other than a first year 9422, the others are chambered for either obsolete, virtually nonexistent or somewhat difficult cartridges to source components for like 35 Rem, 356 Win, 375 Win, 45-75 Win and 32 Short Colt/32 Rimfire. I've had 32 Spl, , 30-30, 357/38, 45-70 and 450M but, they found new homes over time. I'm not inclined to load with black powders. That article is probably one of the better compilations of smokeless data out there for the 45-75 Win.

All I have now is couple Mod 94 30-30, but traded last year my first ever centerfire I got in 1981, a Marlin 336 30-30. But I love 30-30's, have taken most my deer with them. But I'd love a Mod 94 BB in 356Win! My own fault i dont have a JM Marlin 35 Rem, none around here now, except those in permanent homes!
If I'd had a clue I'd go deer hunting crazy in my old age, I'd have several more!
Used my Rem 700 270Win last two seasons, but im likely to go back to a 30-30 this year, according to where I hunt.
