Just talked to Grant on the phone the other day for the first time in a long time. Unfortunately, he was calling to tell me Robert Bennett, the third co-author of our book, "Deer Management 101: Manage Your Way to Better Hunting," died suddenly.

Yup. And this was a tragic one. He fell in the shower and hit his side on the edge of the tub. He talked to a friend on the phone and said he didn't feel well, so he was going to go to bed. He was found dead in bed the next morning. He had broken a rib, which punctured a lung, and he drown in his own blood during the night.

He asked if he can show my place but when I told him you had been out there he was concerned with safety and liability. He was walking away shaking his head and mumbling something about bowhunting, christianity, accidents and that crazy kinkel.
