Anyone go New years Cold?

Just wondering if anyone braved the cold this morning. If so how was the deer movement? Im Thinking about trying it in the morning. I guess I'm looking for motivation in this weather! Thanks

Three of us spent the night in deer camp, but we did not hunt this morning. At 7 degrees on the mtg, it becomes more a test of torture than the joy of hunting. A very good breakfast of biscuits,gravy, country ham, peach preserves and hot coffee more than made up for the lack of hunting.

I went for an hour or so this evening, saw 1 spike.

Went early this morning, and thought I might have something freeze and fall off.

On the upside, I’m finally on the board for the season, and nothing froze off.

I didn’t see anything moving until after 8am.

Deer moved pretty good yesterday, killed 3 and filmed 5 get killed, so I slept in this morning and didn't wake up till noon. Hunted this evening in the backyard field, but some neighbors kind of screwed things up. Prob wont go again till the weekend and will enjoy that last weekend as always
