Probably jumped the gun a little, but It was a nice day Saturday so we started a few things:

Tomatoes, Okra, squash, beans, peppers, lettuce and a few herbs.
I/we are still new to gardening but did OK last year despite getting a late start.
 
I'm starting some tomato seeds on this rainy Sunday afternoon. They should be ready to go in the ground by early May.
 
Six to eight weeks from seed to in the ground is what I like to do. By early May the temps ought to be warm enough. Tomatoes hate cold.
 
I ordered a bunch of seeds from Southern Exposure. I'm also getting my raised beds ready this week. I'm hoping to get seedlings in the soil by May.

Same here. My 4 year old and me started our tomatoes, bell peppers, and eggplant. Never grew eggplant before but he wanted to try it; he just likes the way the bright purple vegetables look I'm sure :) .
