I am not an electrician by far!!

My trolling motor runs off a battery with nothing else hooked into it. The cranking battery runs the FF and the pumps. I don't have all those nice lights like you do but I plan on adding some. LED is the way to go with lights if you don't already have some you're going to use.
 
If you're running LED i would say it would be ok to run lights to cranking or troller battery because they draw few amps.
AS A PERSONAL PREFERRENCE.. My last motor had a electric or pull start. With that said, I would have all batteries ran to the back in case I killed the troller, I could just swap to the cranking and not have to worry about needing the extra juice. Everything is just all in one spot..
I'm about to thread my build. I'll post a picture of the switch setup it had to give you an idea of "how to". The best way? I DON'T KNOW
 
Oooh this is giving me ideas.... I have lit up my bike with blue, green, red and white LEDs for a cool looking effect, maybe do that to my boat for night fishing? :grin: Also got to look at the regulations for boating at night... I am a noob here...

14 foot jon boat and I weight like 370! I think there is enough weight in the back!
 
I have a 24V trolling system and put those batteries up front in mine, and it truly rides great now with my big butt in the boat. You will probably get less porpoising with that weight distribution. Great idea.
 
I have a 6 gallon tank that goes I'n the back as well. I should probably move it up front as well. Do they make long brake lines that run 12 foot or so?
 
If that's what you want to do with your fuel, why use a brake line? Why not just regular fuel line with some barbeb couplings?
