I am less excited than I have ever been.

My sentiments exactly Ruger. I had planned on going this weekend but decided to back out. New group of guys this year and the chemistry just isn't there for me. Need to work anyways. Plus I think the WMA is going to be a circus Saturday and Sunday.

On another note, the buddy I leased the pit in Bootheel these last 2 years with called me Friday. The farmer burned the field and buddy had 20 doz TX rigged decoys in the pit along with other stuff. Well the fire got going good and everything in the pit caught on fire. Total loss. I feel bad for him but man I'm glad I didn't do that pit again this year. It was ALWAYS something due to poor planning or his stubbornness. All for not even 50 ducks.

I will probably take most of this season off and go solo next year. Hope you have a good season!

After hearing the AR reports for opening day i am definitely not excited for our opener.

I'll be hunting Reelfoot with Ben Parker. Last year we smashed em. Hopefully this rain will help it happen again. Our AR opener was a waste of gas money and sleep over the weekend.

I am excited, mainly for hanging out with some of my closest friends and hopefully kill a few ducks. We haven't had a ton of success the last few years so just enjoy going and if we kill some even better.

So much for my excitement about going. I either have the flu or a really bad sinus infection. Fever, chills, body aches, stopped up head and chest, runny nose, and scratchy throat. I'll take one for the team and stay home. I'd be pretty mad if someone knew they were sick and brought it to the blind anyhow and gave it to everyone else, so I'll do what is right for me and everyone else.

Its a bad time to get into duck hunting. Its a really dry year and duck numbers are down 50%+ in the past 5-6 years.

November ducks push out with a sudden temp drop around here. This week was no exception. We still managed to get a couple this morning.

Reports I got:
1 blind killed 2 wood ducks
1 blind killed 1 wood duck, 1 pintail
Pit in Missouri skunked yesterday and today.

Glad I stayed home and cut firewood.

Scratched a few woodies. Big ducks left before legal light.

My son and 2 buddies got 14 not sure what type all he said was 14 and no big ducks .
