I'm in upper middle tn, right on the Kentucky border. I'm hunting a stand that I always see lots of deer from. This same weekend last year I saw 21 before lunch on the Saturday hunt, mostly cruising bucks... all day sit yesterday and several hours before church this morning and I've seen one doe?!!??!! It's great seeing all the pics of successful hunts but I was just wondering how many others like me are just sitting in dead woods this weekend ? Perfect weather, perfect time of year..lots of acorns...no deer....
 
I went out Friday night and had a large fork walk through some really thick stuff couldn't get a shot he looked to be cruising.

Yesterday took the morning off and got out at noon, saw nothing the whole sit - It sure was hot
 
Grainger Co. - We have only been up twice this year so far. All we have seen was a tall spike and a little 4 pt. We did see some good sign and moved a stand and put up a camera. Giving that a couple weeks to rest and see what's what.
 
sat all day yesterday_notta ....at first light today had a shooter within 50 yards but couldnt get a shot nothing else since.came out at noon couldnt sit another minute azz and back about to lock up

I had deer all around me all day yesterday 21 total but only 3 bucks, biggest one was a 6 pointer. Today not so much, only saw two deer this morning a 4 point and a different 6 than l saw yesterday. Nothing so far this evening. All the bucks were by themselves so I think they are on the verge of rut, I didn't see any chasing.
