After blowing a easy shot on a doe at 15 yards this morning, I am going to try to make things right this evening.Going to a wma for a change of scenery.Anyone else hunting this evening?

I'll be after them again.Think I found a good spot,an old log landing that I bushhoged first of Sept.Went and looked at it today after my monring hunt,and it had alot of tracks in it.Im hopeing to see my first deer from the stand this evening..LOL I'll be hunting it in the AM to,gonna leave my climber hooked to the tree.

Yep I hate hunting clearcuts early in the season. I have a good early season honeyhole on the wma. Just been waiting for the opening day crowds to clear out. Good luck!

Fixin to hit the shower and head out the back door.
It was dang near perfect this morning and saw 0 deer. Maybe they will be movin this evening.

I'm on the WMA all day. Hadn't seen a deer all day till a few minutes ago. Almost slung an arrow at a doe and she had a fawn in tow. I'd have shot that fawn too and am not afraid to admit it. Darn thick woods, help me draw my bow but also prevent me from getting a clear shot.

Yelp done in stand and hunting a thick swamp had to wade water to get here but hopefully it will be worth it
