Anyone else at the drawing at Gooch ?

First off it was great to meet FISH while I was there.
Love meeting members I have never met.
Good doing business with ya too.


Now for my question.
I am not great at judging numbers but last year I would put good money on the fact that there were 2,000 people there.
This year I am saying it was pushing it to say there were 1,000.

Could be wrong but everyone in our group were talking about how many fewer people were there.
Just curious what everyone else thought.

I know I need to run a bar and talk every college student to show up and use them to sign on with.
Couple guys I know had probably 150 people in their group.
It works because they drew 3 blinds and I am pretty sure 2 were top tens.

Just wondered if a bunch of people just decided to go to Tiggret or something?

It was the same way at Woods this yr too. Maybe a 3rd of the people drawing. I say the increase in license had something to do with part of it.

I was at the Gooch drawing and also noticed that the crowd numbers were nothing like it usually is. My buddy was drawn 22nd and got Blind 12 in the timber. Anyone have any advice or info on that spot?? And congrats on drawing again Ruger!

From what I was told before the draw from asking questions is the biggest obstacle you will face at 12 is water, or the lack thereof.

I also heard that opening weekend that area has absolutely whacked 'em in the past few years.
