Hunted gooch unit E last weekend. Seen quite a few birds first day, killed a few. Second day didn't see as many and couldn't get anything to work. Anyone know how unit A, tigrett, or even Camden bottoms been doing?

I live on Birdsong Creek not far from Camden Bottoms and they are doing a lot of shooting the last week or so.

One friend has a blind right here in the creek and he's had good days and bad days but for the most part he says they are ahead on the birds this year.

Haven't fired a shot the last 2 trips to Ky Lake at New Johnsonville. Might have seen four dozen birds Sat and Monday combined. The bottoms shot good for the first hour or so yesterday, and then it just died.

I hunted everyday last week in West TN and it was probably the slowest I have seen it this time of year.. Ducks were there but mostly nocturnal and stale as ever. It hailed on us Friday morning and as soon as the storm broke there were thousands of ducks every where.. It just showed how many ducks we were not seeing because they were only moving at night... Was hoping for some new ducks from the south but only saw some big wads of pintails coming from the MS river.. We barely broke double digits 3 of 7 days..

Actually the storms were Thursday morning... Losing track of days.. 🤣

These two mallard hens and a drake have been in my cove for the last three weeks. LoL.

They have not left this cove at all. They have the duck hunters figured out.

N Louisiana birds are flying back North.
Cheatham covered up with stale birds.
Looks like a rough last couple of weeks but enjoy it while we can. 🍻

I have some friends that limited out every day last weekend at Gooch unit E.

Out of curiosity why on earth would you post that on a public forum for no telling how many people to see? Lol
It takes 5-6 years to draw some of these pools. If you want to hunt the best spots and know what to put in for. I highly doubt anyone here will hurt those chances and I also didn't say what spot they were hunting. There are 10 sites at Gooch unit E. Boat blind only and you get drawn for 3-4 days. There are no other people allowed in the whole bottom's unless you are drawn for one of the 10 spots and you must hunt the spot you were drawn for.

Nah people can't just go hunt there but they definitely can start trying to draw this spot effectively making it harder to draw in the future. Loose lips sinks ships what I've always been told.

There is like 8-10 people that frequent the waterfowl page here. If all of them put it I don't think it will change the odds much. Besides I know people that have killed limits in most all the draw blinds that at some point this season. You think that will make them harder to get?

I know of limits killed at Tigrett, Gooch Unit A and Thorny the past couple weeks. Likely Bogota and Camden, just don't know anybody that's hunted there. Lots of good spots on the right day with the right ducks.

Only seen 2 in the timber Saturday, went to another timber hole a mile away and seen over 50 and shot woodies Sunday. I leave for Dyersburg tomorrow to hunt Wednesday and Thursday. Then back to the timber for the last weekend!
