I wondered if anybody used triple 7 loose in their ML. I like it in my CVA Staghorn .50 cal. I've been using it with 350 gr. Maxi-Hunters and 370 gr. Maxi-Balls. It seems like a hotter powder than Goex 2f and Pyrodex RS.

That's the only thing I use in my muzzleloaders. It is about 20% hotter than normal pyrodex. I have used BH209 as well, but several of my guns are sidelocks and I also have an electric gun that will not fire off the 209 so I use the 777 in everything.

I use 90 grain loose 777 in my encore. More accurate than pellets.
that's exactly what Im shooting with great results and I have found zero reasons to change.

Just remembered loose 777 is about 20% hotter than the pellets or loose pyrodex. 120 gn of loose 777 is pretty close to using 3 777 pellets.

I use it till about 4:30 this afternoon when I buy a can of BH209. Everything I hear and read about it is good.

I use 90 grains of loose 777 pushing a 250 grain shockwave. I started out with pellets and they are just not as accurate as loose powder. Very good results with this powder and bullet combo in the field on live animals as well.
