I am looking for a long range muzzleloader bullet and the Barnes TMZ 250 or 290 grain looks good. All copper design with the boat tail. Anybody have any results of this bullet afield?

I've had great success with the Barnes Spitfire MZ 245 grain copper bullet out to 200 yards in my Encore. I was using Triple 7 powder but this year I'm gonna be using Blackhorn 209. I'm gonna pattern both the Barnes Spitfire MZ 245 grain and the Spitfire TMZ 250 grain bullet in a few weeks. I'll let you know how they do.

Let me know...

I was shooting 275gr Fury bullet and 290gr Barnes on my BP EXPRESS 50. Cal. Was using three 777 Magnum pellets, 1/2 1/4 groups at 100 yards.

A man that I know shoots 250gr Barnes with 100 grains/volume of the Blackhorn 209 powder, has over 100 rounds and has not cleaned the bore it shoots consistent every time.

I am too chicken yugo to use the powder on the Muzzleloader due to being a bit expensive ML.

I shot a buck 2 years ago with the 289 gr TMZ. Awesome performance. He dropped in his tracks. Fits VERY snug in the Omega.
