anybody plant shotplot?

planted this 3 years on our old place and had great luck with it.
planting it this weekend on our farm we've had for 12 years just never put food plots on it. hope it works as good as it did on the old place.
good thing about it its not expensive either

sure dont man. it should be growing pretty good for the 2 day ml hunt oct 17 and 18 and be in real good shape for the rifle season.
ill get you some pics when it starts growing.

I've had better luck with it than any of the other Brassica mixes. I always get lots of tonage with Shotplot. I've planted brassica's for several years now and the deer will use it all year. When I first started using it they would only used it after a frost.

It is a couple different kinds of forage Brassica's.

Had it out at my place for two years and the deer love the rape in this mix. They dont hit the turnips at all.

Yes it works very well. plant it here in tn and in ohio, and have had great sucess both places.

The mix seems to change from year to year. But it is always forage brassicas. I guess they use what most available.

ive spent up to 100 on food plots with shot plots. i didnt get good results. every now and then deer would hit it. i went to buck forage oats and they have killed it. i have seen tons more deer on it. its more expensive, but i believe its worth it!

is it a no till product?

It's not technically "No-till", but if you can spray a Roundup on existing vegetation, then seed before a rain....or spread on bare ground before rain, you'll get germination. Of course soil pH & nutrient value will play in to how well it does.
I plant it and it's not hit before a couple of frosts, but we have a real low deer density. After a couple of frosts, the deer hammer it.
