Last one I killed was at about 12:30 in the afternoon. Last one I missed was about 8:00 in the AM. I much prefer the morning hunting and have a lot more sightings at that time-but on the other hand I don't tend to hunt them much around mid day so who knows? Any time you can get out and hunt and/or call is potentially productive. Better than laying on the couch anyway. LOL PH
 
Fixing to head out and give it a try. its been raining all morning and its stopped now. maybe i can get out there for a few mins before it starts back.
 
I've killed a few mid-day coyotes. I usually quite before noon myself, but I figure they're still out there.... if anything bedded down sleeping and maybe easier to sneak with in ear shot of? Surely calling would wake 'em up.

I've only killed three while deer hunting, but they were all between 9 am and noon. I've seen yotes in the afternoon while I was scouting, or even from the car while driving in the country.
