On one my farms I just put a trail camera back out and over half of the Bucks look like they have already shed one side. All 1 1/2 and 2 1/2 year old bucks. It seems awful early wondering if this is caused from mineral diffentecy or just a bully deer breaking them off early. Farm does have a good buck doe ratio.

I'll bet they're probably broke off. It's still a little early IMO

I've seen one deer 3 times in the last week and a half that has one side missing. I just assumed it was from fighting. These comments now make me wonder.

We have pics of deer already shedding. My brother already found one near his camera. Ours always start shedding early but it's real early this year. But I think it's mostly to do with lack of food this year. Absolutely no mass whatsoever

Deer are well fed here, I'm curious to see when they start shedding. Not running any cameras, have to go by what I find in the woods.
